Unfortunately, the text was in Russian. I have brought this up on Puptcrit before, but can't seem to find the discussion in the archives...does anyone have any idea what book these might be from? I would love to find it or the designs and look at them again. - Andrew On Sun, Mar 21, 2010 at 12:00 PM, <puptcrit-request-AT-puptcrit.org> wrote: > > Date: Sat, 20 Mar 2010 17:33:11 -0400 > From: Alexander Winfield <sheepwpunks-AT-gmail.com> > Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Russian puppetry > To: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org > Message-ID: > <7336f0e61003201433r7f17392aq9c4c481c2079d93c-AT-mail.gmail.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 > > I remember reading Sergei Obraztsov's autobiography (he was probably > the biggest traditional puppeteer in Soviet Russia), in which he > mentions that the puppet world was pretty sparse before he started > working in the field.
