Student Arrested in Attempt To Bomb Whitman High School
Principal, School Authorities Covering Up Incident

October 30, 1998

Bethesda, MD -- We have recieved a number of reports in the past few
days that an unnamed student, fifteen or sixteen years old, and of Arab
descent, was arrested recently after attempting to place a hommade bomb
in Walt Whitman High School.  Apparently this incident has not been
mentioned publically by the press and has not been brought to the
attention of parents by the principal or school authorities.  If anyone
can provide us more details, we would greatly appreciate it.
