Don't try to explain your worngness because it is unseemly and despoils the general decourem we try to maintain here on the -AT--list. For what it's wirth I do know Kepley quite well. He has eaten at my table, he has slept on my couch. I would probably let him do it again. What chuck0 is referring to are most likely little love notes that were sent to the -AT--list in order to sort of test the waters, so to speak, to see if all of the rabid anti-Tad hatred had died down. It hadn't so we still have Agent Zero instead of Kepley. Am I still pissed at Tad? Not really. He's wandered in the wilderness long enough and I'm not going to give him a Life Sentence because he lifted some cash. I'm of the school of thought that once you pay your debt for your anti-social acts then you've paid your debt and we all move on. Obviously this mindset is rare on the -AT--list and in the milleu in general. Who are we, us people who rail against the states and their overblown system of coercement and exagerrated sentences for anti-social acts, to condemn a person for +life+ for becoming addicted to heroin? Unless people shut up about it I can see no difference between them, and what it is we are supposed to be against. Frankly, like Josh, I've about had it with the fucking missionary zeal alleged anarchoes show when it comes to denouncing someone for acts that were committed a couple of years ago. All of this over mere _money_? A few coins of the realm? Sheesh. If that's how we treat those who walked among us, then what makes us different from those we condemn? In this society we give life sentences to murderers and rapists, but we also give exhorbiant time to serve for those who find themselves committing anti-social acts while in the clutches of addiction. Yes, it's ugly but that's what we do. Allegedly anarchists are supposed to offer some alternative to these heinious acts of judgement that are committed in the name of stopping anti-social acts, but I'm not seeing it. Someone said Tad should apologize. Yeah, well, bullshit on that. Tad's been exiled for his sins and he has suffered the loss of a lot of friends and he has lost out on a lot of good times because of what the Portland Collective convicted him of. Was he guilty? He was found guilty, so I trust that judgement. But I'll be damned if what he did it merits a life sentence of shame and degradation and cheap shots out of people like you. Tad will never apologize, so people should get that monkey off his back right now. Hell, I doubt I would apologize either, just og GP. Am I supposed to hate him forever for having pride and being stubborn? Richard Nixon said one of the porblems with our society is that if you get caught fucking just one dog, you'll be called a dog-lover for the rest of your life. He should know, as he was hounded from office. The question for people to resolve is whether this never-forgetting aspect is something we should carry over into the newer society we want to build, or whether we should simply learn to forget. Don't even fucking talk to me, jerkamajor. You don't know squat and what you do know is worng. carp
