It was cool, but there is no guarantee that the project won't be sold to
AOL outright. It's now controlled by Mozilla.org, which is theoretically
independent from AOL/Netscape, but I say you can never trust a
capitalist. The founders of NewHoo were pretty murkey and they profited
nicely when they sold my work to Netscape.

You won't find me spending much time updating my Open Directory section;
I'll be working on a true open source alternative.

The same things can be said about the Google search engine which
everybody is praising. The two guy who developed it at Stanford are
posturing themselves to profit from it when it gets sold to some
company.
