Subject: Zero Work, Work Resistance

I am very interested in an anarchism which deconstructs the Work Ethic. Ever
since the advent of "totalitarian agriculture", a work insanity has siezed
humans and they have worked anywhere from 8-13 hours a day. I don't understand
this, I don't think it's healthy, and I think we need to seriously question
any society which tries to impose so much work upon us (and even worse when we
become the self oppressor and impose it upon ourselves). Hunter-gatherers and
primitive horticulturalists spend very little time on work, a great deal of
time on festivity, and a large amount of time resting and lounging. Sounds
like me! They also seem to work in spurts, when inspired. Also sounds like me.

Bob Black has written an excellent book, The Abolition of Work. Anyone care to
open a discussion?
