one migh consider that the rule of opposing forces must play at least some
small role in this. case in point is the influence of the american
upperclass on politics. at first, they tended to back the republicans i
imagine because they pushed conservative corporate friendly economics.
lately, however, the answer to that strategy has been to hold a strong
alliance with neither party and the result is that without the loud muss
associated with politcicking, they have been able to slip by most of their
fiscal policy. simlarly, the obvious and loud bickering of class struggle
my distract and actually prevent anarchists from getting influence with
the middle class. dropping bombs doesn't win any friends and its effect on
the mainstream conscioussness is that it builds resistence to our message.
in this way, the actual conflict is what screws us over. i've been saying
for years that we ought to push the benefits of an equitable society
rather than railing against the current one. conflict will only lead to
mor econvlict. better to beat a path to paradise.
