been there, became one.

so i can't for anything in the world send my kids to a catholic school. If
i look at the other people i went to school with, it sems i'm the only one
who turned anti-authoritarian.

We also opted for public school. The reasoning behind the choice were
threefold:
- school had to be close to our house
- they had to have some trees and grass
- school pouplation should reflect the multiculturality of the part of
brussels we live in

The catholic private schools (which form a majority of the educational
system in belgium) are known to be a bit hesitant to let too many non-white
children enter. There you go with xtian solidarity.

ANother porblem in brussels schools is language (dutch/french) but that's a
bit to complicated to explain.

Erik

PS. as long as you are able to give enough counterweight to the catholic
propaganda i guess there shouldn't be a problem.
