I like to buy my books impulse-style, so online shopping is out for me.
But then thanks to Borders buying the best independent bookstore in St.
Louis (Library Ltd.), I now have my choice between evil corporate giant
Borders or evil corporate giant Barnes & Noble.  There are a goodly number
of independent bookstores here, but they cater primarily to the
SF/Romance/Horror/Western crowds.  As far as I can tell, I'm in a lose/lose
situation until I finally get the courage to open a radical bookstore myself.
