when y're out in the tullies and yr only bookstore
is a Waldensbooks (and a poor one at that), y catch as catch
can. even tho i be a slow reader, i'm even more o a book nut
than a gun nut. i have bought many books off the net. no
more disappointments than when i buy 'em in stores. prices
about the same. mebbe a little more for postage, but i usually
get 'em quicker than when i order thru the locals. the afore-
mentioned horrifying NOW incident wherein i lost my self-respect
happened at the Women and Children First Bookstore in Chicago.
so everthing i be today i owe to books (and a bygone dose o the
syphillis, for which they now have a cure, thank Nietzsche.)
