          East 9th Street.

all proceeds go to Dos Blocos Legal Defense Fund

For over six months the 60+ residents of "dos Blocos" (713 East 9th
Street) have been fighting eviction in Landlor-Tenant Court. On Jan.13th,
Judge Soto ruled against htem and last Tuesday a 6-day "Notice of
Eviction" was issued. However, the people of Dos Blocos remain undeterred
in their efforts to defend their home, and on Jan. 27th, their attorney,
Colleen McGuire, obtianed the right to appeal Judge soto's Decision. Now
the eviction clock has stopped ticking pending the outcome of the appeal
which may be decided as soon as Monday morning.
