There may be more truth in this than you know: Grrman folklore has it that  
the customer of a pub sued the publican after having eaten a Hamburger in  
that place and developped symptoms of a serious case of food poisoning due  
to eating bad meat which the disappointed customer wrote down to consuming  
said Hamburger.

The publican went off free because, during the trial, he was able to give  
sufficient proof that his Hamburgers did not contain any meat .... ;))))
