When I say division-of-labor, I'm thinking primarily of the Taylor system
that has been put into effect in many workplaces during this century where
jobs are broken down into maximum efficiency and minimal skill
requirements. It's what justifies the existance of managerial hierarchy,
because somebody has to able able to see "the bigger picture" and so on up
the ladder. Something similar also goes for the artificial specializations
of 'professionals'.

Or something like that.
