      !!  all the old /RENEGADE/ url's are now obsolete!  !!


Greetings!

Well, its finally happened!  The Fornit has launched the new and improved
Article Archive/Retrieval program - "PEAARS!"  Please see "item 1" below -
"Announcement:  PEAARS (Pathologically Eclectic Article Archive/Retrieval
Server)" for more info.

Since PEAARS has now taken over:  /RENEGADE/ is no longer relying on the old
iCE program.  The archives are no longer split in two, articles are indexed
immediately (no more waiting for the 4am processing), there is a new search
interface, searches are faster & more reliable... AND due to the upgrade:
all the old /RENEGADE/ url's are now obsolete !!! *  Sorry for any
inconvenience, but we are sure that the improvements will outweigh any
temporary difficulties.

* The /RENEGADE/ front page is at the same old address... but all the
article addresses have changed.  All requests for old /RENEGADE/ article
url's are automatically redirected to the new search interface; so: If you
end up there just type in your desired topic or paste in the previous
article title, select a time frame, and press "Search."  Please update any
bookmarks you might have made, see "item 2" below: "New KEY SEARCHES at
/RENEGADE/" , and enjoy the new facilities!

PEAARS (Pathologically Eclectic Article Archive/Retrieval Server)

Description:

   A server program to which articles are sent via a "magic email address."
The program immediately loads the contents of the email into a searchable
database. Via a user-friendly Search Interface [via the www]: Articles are
available to be listed for any particular viewer upon demand; and are
automatically formatted with the owner's headers and footers on the fly,
being displayed as individual web pages.

Purpose:

   Allows the owner to almost effortlessly post information
that can be accessed by the Net community without having to divert
time, energy, or money to website development and management.
