To be fair to Blair, certain sections of the report were leaked to
the press and Jack Straw tried a court injunction to stop the leaks
pre-publication. The publication was always going to be this week,
and there has been such a fuss nationally that they wouldn't dare
suppress it. Plus it will be useful to HM Gov in rooting out parts of
the Met Police they don't like.

Incidentally, the campaign to get the murderers [who were never
charged because of racist and inept police work], reached national
prominence, after a lot of activist agitation, when the editor of the
Daily Mail, possibly our most right wing paper, realised that Neville
Lawrence the father had done some building work for him and was a
thoroughly decent chap. He then ordered his reporters who were going
to ignore the story to do the decent thing, and though no murder
charges had been brought, the Mail named the 5 alleged perps and
defed them to sue.

The case has unfortunately only been prominent because these are
'deserving' black people i.e. just like us whiteys.
