why not?

 just curious- i wondered what the reasoning here was.  can't you just
accept Mr. Christ as your Lord and Saviour, (perhaps exhort everyone else
around you to) and then pack your bags for the Pearly Gates? isn't
salvation simply an issue of individual faith?
