While I agree that you probably can't accomplish much against "management" in Texas, it is not illegal to unionize a factory in Texas. "Right to work" simply means that a union can't force every one in a factory to be a union member or to walk out during a strike. I know this because my mom was a member of the union in the factory where she worked. They went on strike in 1984. It was a long and nasty strike. That is when I learned about the things done to scabs and their property and how to accomplish them effectively. Quite an education. Ultimately, however, the strike failed. Too many scabs crossing the picket line and no support from the union headquarters took their toll. I really don't know that "right to work" is really all that bad. When I was in Minnesota, I worked at a grocery store and was forced to be a member of the union. I had to pay 400 dollars to be in a union I didn't want to be in. And I was only part time. It isn't right to require membership in a union as a prerequisite to obtain a job. Jerald ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
