Subject: Agent Zero's Hate of Blacks and Punks


Carp, you were wondering why its supposedly OK to make jokes about other
social groups (white ones) but not blacks.  Actualy I'd say it's equaly
bad, and I wouldnt like to see jokes about Europeans all the time.
Usualy, the white people who make jokes about their OWN ethnic group are
found to be funny.. same with blacks making fun of themselves.  The
problem with "nigger jokes" is that they have an implied message that
these people are inferior, should be shunned, or destroyed.  This is the
priblem.  When we hear jokes about whites, we know they arnt saying "kill
these people"... but jokes about blacks usualy imply that.. they say
"yeah, lets kill mumia because he's just a dirty nigger"... or they say
"yeah, it was OK to kill Marten Luther King because he was a dirty
nigger".  It's hard to appreciate this unless youre a member of an
"oppressed social group", but I thjink its true.  The same would go for
jokes about Palestinians, Kurds, Basques, or the Irish.

I think that putting down punks is just another way of firing a cheap shot
at people who already arnt respected much by the establishment.  Punks
have done a lot to further the anarchist cause and the "kid punks" who get
into punk for fun eventualy learn about anarchism and some of them joint
he movement.

While I do not advocate banning any kind of speech.. I think people are
free to fire insults back at Agent Zero, and they have a perfect right not
to associate with him.. that means not inviting him to functions, groups,
or any other social entity.  The right to associate also includes the
right to disassociate.  He obviously would not be welcome on an african
american or punk mailing-list.
