From: "Dave Coull" <d.y.coull-AT-dundee.ac.uk> Date: Sat, 17 Apr 1999 14:04:26 GMT Subject: Kosovo Minefield - Made In Britain British Harrier jets are dropping cluster bombs on Kosovo and Serbia which create their own instant minefields. The British RBL755 is an unguided "free fall" bomb weighing 600 pounds. Each of these bursts open, showering 147 "bomblets" the size of a drinks can over a wide area. Between 10 and 30 percent of the bomblets don't explode. They create a big minefield of unexploded bombs. Long after the Kosovo Albanian refugees have returned home, peasants and children will be blown apart by these British bombs for many decades to come.
