You live on the other side of the world but it all seems so familiar. You could have been describing my old high school in New Zealand. You seem to be doing the best job you can do with these kids. I've only ever seen a school from a students perspective. There needs to be more teachers like you out there who make an effort to run a classroom as something other than a juvenile detention camp. The kid in the racist T-shirt sounds like a hassle. There were plenty of budding little nazi stormtroopers at my old school, but none of them would have dared turn up wearing a shirt as blatant as that. Their activities were limited to racist graffiti. This was because my neighbourhood has a diverse mix of ethnic groups. There were way more Moari and Pacific Island kids than nazis. If anybody was going to get picked on it was usually the asian kids. They copped flak from both sides. Keep up the good work and don't give up hope. Lorax
