Wasn't that one of his motivations for going along with the peace process? Similarly, an old poor ex-student of mine now eking out life on a loan at university had his car trashed in the recent Reclaim the Streets demo. A bit of differentiation between a student using his own old banger to deliver pizzas, and the company cars repaired at no cost to the driver might help. I'd have marginally more sympathy if they re-claimed Esher and Surbiton rather than the inner city.
