Here's one of those instances where just a little mutual aid would go a
long way to getting an anarchist enterprise fairly firmly on its feet.

There are almost 250 of us on the list. If 150 (or roughly 60% of us
kicked in $10 over the next three months (or $3 and some change for each
of the next three months) then we could cover the cost of getting PA
printed with sufficient quantity and quality to have at least a fighting
chance of supporting itself as an enterprise. If all of us kicked
something in *somewhere* we could fund PA and help some other anarchist
project get up and running (or out of trouble.)

Most of us are scraping along, but, even as rough as things have been
around the store, i'm not likely to miss $3.33/month. Chances are i
wouldn't miss $10 or even $20 a month much - particularly if i knew it was
going toward economic support for anarchist activities. 250 anarchists -AT-
$20/month = $60,000 - which ought to be enough, cleverly and carefully
applied, to start really changing things for at least a few anarchist
projects. Hopefully, that would be really changing things for a few
anarchists as well.

Then what if, beyond this sort of charitable mutual aid, we began to pool
our expertise and such? Say Scott decides to go ahead and try his radical
bookstore idea. How much could his way be smoothed, with the various
abilities in the anarchist-list subscriber base brought to bear, if we
were to take that up as a project?
