From: "Dave Coull" <d.y.coull-AT-dundee.ac.uk> Date: Wed, 23 Jun 1999 17:00:47 GMT Subject: Re: Yugoslavia/J18 London Andy, regarding these >>> two young secretaries [more wage-slaves than capitalists] who >>> were held down and had their heads shaved I have some more questions. Was the equipment used a battery operated electric shaver ? (Opportunities to plug into the mains were presumably limited.) Did the perpetrators come to the riot equipped with this shaving gear ? If so, that would mean that we are dealing, not with "pissed crusties", but with malice aforethought . How long did it take to shave the heads of, not one , but TWO secretaries ? Since they were presumably objecting to the procedure, it must have taken some considerable time. Was the main battle between rioters and police taking place elsewhere , so that the street where this incident took place was , at the time , entirely in the hands of rioters who were in favour of shaving the heads of secretaries ? How many people were involved in doing this ? It would have had to be at least four, I reckon. I still say there is no way an incident like this on the streets of central London in broad daylight could be kept quiet. It would get into the press. Dave
