This is not a new tactic. It is a very old tactic. At the point you're at
now, you've been socialised to believe that you cannot enact any change
outside of the system. Now you believe you must act within the system. But
as soon as you become part of the system, you have to make compromises to
exist within that system. And those compromises limit your freedom of
action within the system, to acts that prevent you from being dangerous to
the system.

Do you not see the implicit danger in trying to change things from the top
down, rather than the bottom up? The danger, namely, that you establish a
society that once again is ordered from the top down. Power corrupts, as
they say, and it has a very intoxicating effect, as I'm sure the handful of
people on this list who have compromised to the point of accepting
supervisory or managerial positions will tell you.

On the other hand, we all have to exist within the system to some extent, it
feeds us, gives us shelter, allows us to recieve goods and services in
exchange for our labour. Right now, it's practically the only way to
survive. And before anyone rips my head off, I do not mean for one minute
to suggest that this is the only way to work, or the only way society can be
formed.

Bill, ask yourself this, why will the ruling class fight for a struggle that
is philosophically opposed to their very existence? A struggle that has a
very different set of views, and a different set of values? Whom do you
expect to find to support you?

Bill. The key to effective communication is being willing both to listen
and to respond. It involves having something you wish to say, but being
open minded enough to hear other opinions. It means showing respect to the
person you speak with, and having that returned back to you, i.e. limiting
the involvement of your ego. It means making an emotional connection with
the person you are talking to you. Done with conviction, and a willingless
to listen, it can be a productive exercise.

You talk like this, you sound pompous, you sound arrogant. Let your actions
and your attitudes speak for themselves. Do not try and replace them with a
list of character references, and route name-dropping. You lose your
credibility with your audience, they no longer feel sympathetic to you,
because they percieve these traits, and dislike them. Then even if you have
a message, they are no longer willing to listen or hear it, because they
have lost their appreciationg and sympathy for the speaker. If you cannot
move people emotionally, you will not move them physically. A word in
itself is not a dangerous thing. A word, however, that moves someone to
action, that is what will tear down walls and barriers.

And you will find these people within the ruling class that you seek to
become part of? And you do not see a fundamental contradiction with being
an anarchist, yet seeking to become a ruler? You do not see the fact that
the wealth you build for yourself will be taken from those who work for you,
without their agreement?

One last word, although this does seem petty, what books did you write, or
co-author, Billl? Inquiring minds would like to know.
