You know Congress isnt about to pass a bill that would destroy the telecomunications industry in the US. There was a rummor that started in 1975 , that Madalyn Murray O'Hair was trying to get the FCC to prevent religious speech on the airways. So millions of devout bible thumpers wrote (still are) in protest to the FCC. However there is no law that would alow the FCC to prohibit Pat Robertson or Jimmy Swaggert from robbing the herds blind via tv and radio. The FCC did use up a lot of tax money trying to stop the rumor. Funny those right wingers are always complaining about tax waste but in reality they have caused a lot of it.
