In my experience people who live in a cultural vacuum are extremely boring.
In fact if you live in a cultural vacuum how are you ever going to learn
about the culture you are trying to change.
It could even be called a form of snobbery perhaps.
Society may be reaching giddy new heights of mass stupidity, but at least you
can see the funny side sometimes.
