As a sophmore in high school, I was a republican, because I hated big government. But I'm not exactly morally conservative, so I eventually moved towards Libertarianism. My faith in anarcho-capitalism, however, was not exactly strong. At one point, my (now ex-)girlfriend asked me how a certain social ill (I think it was deforestation or something similar) would be solved, and I actually told her that the market would find a solution. It was about at that point I realised how ridiculous that sounded. :) I found the anarchism faq, and it showed me that socialism did not have to be about totaliatarian redistribution of wealth. Instead, I found the philosophy which had guided my interest in Linux and free software in general. One thing I've learned, however, is that we must never stop evolving ideas. -- Michael Chisari "Got a revolution behind my eyes, mchisari-AT-usa.net we got to get up and organize." ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1
