Several more batches of unwanted British lunatics were also sent to Australia
and New Zealand.  Here in Christchurch we seem to have our fair share of
religious nutters for a relatively small population.  Our City Manager, a man
who probably wields more actual power than the Mayor, was recently quoted as
saying that the recent overhaul of the citys infrastructure was all part of
"The Lord's Plan", that the two new public swimming pools would be used for
mass baptisms when Jesus arrives, and that hindrances in completing the
developments were the work of Satan.
