On the other hand, my 9 yr old son was really interested in the Turtles [and
the riot] and asked me what was going on, so we moved from turtles to
bananas from St Lucia to Punjabi farmers to sweat-shop clothing, and this
morning he's gone off to school with a "no to WTO" badge he'd drawn and
copied from the TV.

So I guess the turtles speak to the teenage mutant hero turtle generation.

Meanwhile Glenys Kinnock, [Member  of the European Parliament and wife of
former Labour Party Leader, now European Commissioner Neil Kinnock and in
Seattle now ]firmly blamed the police "in their ridiculous Darth Vader
outfits" for the trouble, because of their massive over-reaction.
