to be a True Transcendentalist, you would have to transcend everything.
when you transcend everything, yer dead.

and thoreau lived out in the woods, what? a couple of years?  then he
moved back to boston (concord?).  i'm not dissing thoreau or anything, but
i wouldn't really call him a transcendentalist.  but then he is dead....
