If by some miracle he has $250,000, it probably came by way of:

a) $500,000 inheritance, which he's pissed away in "investment games."
b) $100,000 inheritance, which has been brainlessly invested in cyberstocks,
but which will mostly be pissed away once cyberstocks tumble
c) or he has valued the net present value of his expected future inheritance
as such.

In any event, he's had some help and he's a moron.
