Some students staged a "die-in" where a bunch of them pretended to be dead with gunshot wonds. The NRA guy said "Political Correctness is tyranny... tyranny with politeness". Now, I suppose folks like old goat and carp may agree with this, but let's think about that. Are they talking about Maoist politics, where men who beat their wives will be shot (I think a recent issue of MIM Notes stated this), or are they referring to the basic argument that disadvantaged people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect? Doesnt seem like tyranny to me. Also it makes the NRA seem like a bunch of right-wing yahoos quoting conservative intellectuals. If they wanted to appeal to a broader range of the population, they might drop this "PC is tyranny" crap. - JH
