There is also evidence of an African unit of the Roman army being based in the South of Scotland. Roman units could be based in one place for a very long time, so, as these African units almost certainly left descendants, that means the "white" population of England and Scotland (and, by extension, also the white population of the USA, Australia, etc.) may not be quite as white as it thinks it is.
