They're entirely just a status symbol too.  Weak engines, with big pricetags. 
 Similar to the Audi.  A rich ass friend of mine who wants to buy an Audi 
(also German made I believe) for 55-60 thousand dollars.  I bought a used 
Chevy Malibu for $10,000 from my parents.  My car has a 3.2L engine, the Audi 
has a 1.8L. My car is larger, has a larger trunk, gets better gas mileage and 
runs better.  Less money for a better car.  Maybe since I'm only middle class 
I don't understand that logic.
