Dunno yet, I might be in jail cause the Promise Keepers are in our town a few days before. Neither the republicans nor the Religious Reich are real targets for what I seek to change as a WObbly and an anarchist, but they are the gatekeepers and stoolies for the real enemies. I wish "hosts" from the cities where these protests are taking place , would in their planning include actions to handle the inevitable police abuses and have plans in place for the rest of us who have to go home to support them. BTW, I got nothing but lots of positive responses from all the African American folks I met in DC. I think at least part of the climate deals with DC being almost immune to most demos that aren't specifically about racial Justice. Here in Louisville, KY we have to fight with the press about the opposite. We have marches with a thousand or so people against police misconduct...perhaps 30-40% white and you're lucky to see a white face on any of the media coverage. Freedom of the press belongs to the people who own the press. If we want to address the absense of African AMerican faces at some of these demos, then we need to address the war against non-white people in the US. It's kinda difficult to get real concerned about the IMF and WOrld Bank when you've got a cop's boot on your throat and your children are being killed and harassed by the cops whose job it is supposed to be keeping them safe. For the One Big Union, Barry
