Subject: Breasts in an anarchist society Date: Mon, 12 Jun 2000 09:13:43 +0100 This is a multi-part message in MIME format. According to the Sunday Mirror [11/06/00], a 5 year study carried out by Dr Karen Weatherby and published in the New England Journal of Medicine on 200 males found that those who 'enjoyed a longing look at busty beauties had lower blood pressure, less heart disease and slower pulse rates compared to those who did not get their daily eyeful' [quote from the Sunday Mirror - I expect the original was phrased more scientifically]. It is apparently the equivalent of a 30 minute aerobic workout. Dr Weatherby said 'Our study indicates that engaging in this activity a few minutes daily cuts the risk of a stroke and heart attack in half.' This could alter the whole male-female power relationship thing. Excessive use of breasts in the anarchist society, while it would make men healthier, would also more alarmingly free up at least 20 minutes a day of 'fit male time', thus making it harder to avoid the 'who shovels shit in an anarchist society' type jobs. 10 minutes breast gazing = 20 extra minutes work? There is a potential exploitation issue here, whichever way we look at it, and I can find nothing in the works of Kropotkin to get me closer to an ethical position on this. Andy
