I think I'm going to blow chunks.  The bare faced fucking cheek of that
statement!
What little remains outside of corporate or state control must be
"channeled" and managed, licenced and regulated, in other words eaten by
the giant cancerous amoeboid blob that is the STATUS QUO.
It reminds me of what's going on down here at the moment.  I work in a
community garden as a volunteer, and there are plans afoot to start a
network of community gardens across the city.  All is well and good,
except for the ominous fact that the land we use is owned by the city
council.
And now, just as I feared would happen, they're sticking their beaks in
to see that we're doing everything right.  They want to appoint a monitor
to check that we don't slack off and that we're efficient, and that the
folks on the dole (Now renamed the warm fuzzy sounding community wage)
are doing exactly the hours specified.
The council pod people haven't materialized in person as of yet, but when
they do it's not going to feel much like a community run project anymore.
