All good ideas.  Here's another one that's been tossed out there:  The inauguration of Gore or Bush.  As somebody posted earlier, it will be the first inauguration in which the president will be giving his speech wearing a gas mask.

While we all get ready to have a good time at this Summer's conventions
and Prague this September, it's still not to early to start planning for
big anarchist actions next year. I'd like to propose 3 possibilities,
the first one which is obvious, the second having been brought up
yesterday, and the third one being a new idea, albeit based on a
proposal that was circulated after A16.

Proposed Big Anarchist Actions for 2001

May 1 - May Day 2001 - Let's take the effort that went into A16 this
year and make May Day a huge day of international direct action against
capitalist finance
June 18 - Eugene J18 Anniversary Black Bloc - Let's get as many people
as possible to go to Eugene to march in solidarity with Oregon
anarchists and for the release of Robert Thaxton (let's hope that he
gets out before then, but not likely)
July 14 - Bastille Day of Actions Against Prisons - Let's take the
Spirit of Seattle to SuperMax prisons, state prisons, and local jails.

Of course, mass discussions should now ensue...
