I have been receiving, utilizing, and linking invaluable information via
"burn" resources for a very long time. This is blatant censorship - and it
simply should not be allowed.  Please see the link - "ALERT: BURN!
information. Note: please forward widely" for more information on what this
is all about.

I have *numerous* links to burn archives throughout my website - an
"article server" which currently indexes over 4,800 articles; and I would
never be able to correct all those broken links!

I would be very discouraged to hear from my world-wide subscribers,
including many journalists, that my links are not working... and very sorry
to have to explain to them that the burn.ucsd.edu server was abolished for
political reasons!

Its not good that those in power can take that freedom of communication
away, and try to control what is shared on the net... especially when it
concerns "educational institutions!"  Shouldn't we all be supporting a flow
of ideas and opinions?  Shouldn't there be more tolerance, and more
resistance to pressure from foriegn governments, etc?

Please see that free speech is upheld by re-instating the BURN server as
soon as possible - every voice deserves a medium, and this established
vehicle should never have been subjected to whatever politics and
power-play have come into effect here!
