O.K. Here it is: my comments were made in haste as I write from work and
am constrained by time from making a totally clean argument. I admit it.
You DO make some good points, and I guess I got pissed because you did
point out some weak spots. BUT the fact remains that the tone of your
comments were pissy and DID contain some obvious and some not-so-obvious
insults that I feel are completely unwaranted. Attack my arguments not
me as a person. If I want to get attacked in that manner I can post to a
usenet group. The quality of BOTH our arguing would certainly improve. I
do appreciate being called out as it were for my entertainment choices
and for my remarks, but do me the courtesy if being civil and
good-intentioned in any rebuttal. Question my points but please don't
question my sincerity or intentions. I wasn't trying to set you apart
from the list with some Machiavellian turn of phrase - I've just seen
how your kind of arguing leads to the flaming and round-and-round of
bickering that occurs on newsgroups and thought you should be called out
on it. Actually if we hung out I'm sure it would be fun and annoying.
