Well, it's nice to know that the Green Party cares enough to even go after
the Anarchist vote (twice). The problem with Nader (forgetting two hundred
years of Anarchist critique of representative democracy for a moment) is
that - say he was just this dandy, wonderful President of the US, he got
the corporations in line towards their environmental and employee
responsibilities, cleaned up the environment, fixed the ozone layer, ended
poverty, offered Wyoming as a sanctuary for the world's war victims,
personally administered medicine to all of Iraq's children, re-united Janet
Reno with Elian (her young Latin lover), discovered a cure for British
cattle, disbanded the CIA (Hi boys!), got the trains to run on time, and
in his off hours created a new effective educational system and solved
America's racial and class divisions. Sort of the Messiah of the Commuter
Train. He fixes all our problems, and we grow to depend and love him as
our fearless leader, but then eight years later that damned contract with
the Devil, the US Constitution unfairly deprives us of him, and I'm not
certain that's a loss the American public can bear. So we amend the
Constitution to make him Beloved Comrade Dictator For Life, but even then,
he'll die some day, and the longer it takes, the worse off we'll be without
him.

No I'm afraid Nader the Politician is far too much like a drug, and the
inevitable come-down is just too frightening to contemplate.

tearfully,
Scott
