Subject: "Propaganda by Deed" is Vangaurdism


To Check and Wizard.. I was criticizing the idea of bombings and
terrorism, not protests or facing off against cops at protests, which I
think is inevitable (and neccesary since the police and mayors are never
going to give us marching permits, and permit-marches never get any
attention anyway).

I very much disagree that the Unabomber is a folk hero to anyone besides a
small group of ideologicaly-driven people... the "Unabomber for
President" bumper stickers were made by one or two people and didnt have
much impact on the big picture.  There are better role-models than the
Unabomber. The Unabomber's manifesto was more fascist than
environementalist.

The people who think that bombings and murder are a way to get anywhere
are no better than the Stalinists who believe in mass-murder to achieve
their goals.
