If you read the bible from a neutral perspective then satan comes out as quite a nice guy.  Did he commit mass genocide?  Did he claim to create a sentient, decision making species and then invoke the right to smite it whenever it behaved in a manner which slighted his giant allegedly omnipotent ego?
I think not.
But all that considered, we should just let people do whatever drubs their dings unless their practices blatantly try to conquer everybody else in an expansionistic fashion.
