Jamal Hannah said at >This is a fantasy situation and is hypothetical. Is it? I'm not sure about Hitler but anarchists did make several attempts to assassinate other Fascist leaders by precisely such methods. The British anarchist Stuart Christie for instance who in actually online served a couple of years in a Spanish jail for taking part in an attempted assassination of Franco in the late 1960s'. There were numerous anarchist plots to assassinate Franco in fact and I know of at least one to assassinate Mussolini by Michael Schirru who was executed for the attempt. See http://flag.blackened.net/revolt/hist_texts/schirru.html These are very real historical reasons why anarchists should be _very_ careful before labelling all such attempts as 'terrorism', not hypothetical situations. Yes such methods are unavoidably 'vanguardist' in the sense that they can only be carried out secretly by the few but there are situations where little other alternative actually exists. And a situation where a country is under martial law imposed by a fascist tyrant in one such situation. Pacifist methods were not an option under Franco, someone who murders 500,000 after a civil way will not be dissuaded by the idea of gunning down 50, 100 or 500 pacifists.
