Subject: Correction on Ugandan "anarchists"


Yes, the story was too good to be true. As I said in a post on the
Atlantic Anarchist Circle list, we needed to do some fact-checking
before assuming that this story was true. It's a mistake to assume that
something posted to an Indymedia site is true. Mainstream media outlets
may suck, but at least a few of them still use fact checkers.
Unfortunately the alternative press can't afford thse luxuries, but it
is our obligation to research weird-sounding stories like this one.

Jason McQuinn from Anarchy magazine has informed me that the ADF
actually stands for ALLIED DEMOCRATIC FORCES. The newspaper and/or the
Uganda police may have called the ADF "anarchists" but this doesn't make
it so.
