Alliance leader Stockwell Day is as right wing as we've ever had here in Canada. Hopefully the 'Pie Brigade' will provide some entertainment. It seems we're becoming a two party state, just like the US, since everyone's saying a vote for NDP or the Conservatives is a wasted vote since they have no chance of winning. Stockwell Day has a good chance of winning, mainly because of his PR, not because of his polices. The majority of people who vote, in my opinion, know fuck all about politics or economics. People refer to Stockwell Day as a good speaker, when in reality when he speaks to the public he's very manipulative and basically a liar. Maybe I'm just bitter because I'm a lazy Maritimer. Day's famous quote "there could have been an eye injury..." remark concerning pieing of Jean Chretien. Jean Chretien on the other hand is just great. He's kind of like Al Gore, he has policies for all citizens, or are they just lies to get votes? I wonder who will get more soft money, Day had a good start with his '25,000 dollar a table' supper in Toronto. I'm probably just paranoid though, there couldn't have been filthy deals made there. The NDP and Conservatives will be fighting to keep Official Party status (getting 12 seats in the government). And the Bloc Quebecois will continue their fight for separatism. All in all, whoever wins will be continually fucked in the ass by the new American President. Vive la Canada. ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup
