yep, we just had Mel Carnahan, a dead guy, elected to the U.S.
Senate, where Strom Thurmond, who has been dead for years, still
serves.  also, the two main presidential candidates (the doofus
and the psycho) that we can't seem to decide on, i'm told, seem
to both be dead -- at least from the neck up.
