Just wait. If this hiatus gets extended through inauguration day, the president pro tempore of the Seante serves as president of the USA. And that person would be... Sen. Strom Thurmond. My prediction: Gore wins the manual recount in Florida, no "revote" held. Bush gets recounts in Iowa, Wisconsin, Oregon, and New Mexico, but doesn't win enough electoral votes from those results to win.
