Subject: Childhood ends here



Just a personal note. Yesterday my daughter aged 12
was stopped on her way home from school by some
asshole who tried to get her into his car. She did all
the right things - kept her distance and eventually
ran home, but it really seemed as if he'd been
watching out for her. It's her regular route and the
last 10 minutes are walking alone.

Obviously she's really upset, and we had to be
relentlessly upbeat in downplaying the incident. It's
the fact that she was just getting to be quite
independent and now she's been knocked back that
pisses me off - the damage to her self-esteem and the
introduction to the world being nasty a couple of
years earlier than I would have liked.

Anyone with any spare easy to assemble hardware they'd
care  to post me?
