Good news for those of you who have been waiting for the reprint of
William B. Greene's "Mutual Banking." I'm hoping to have the reprint of
the 1870 edition completed by late January, 2001. The cashflow-related
problems that have delayed printing have had one very positive effect -
while I've been waiting for a chance to publish, I've come very close to
assembling a complete set of Greene's book- or pamphlet-length
texts. There have been some very interesting surprises, including some
very striking differences among the various versions of Greene's mutual
banking writings. I hope to get a look at the original Worcester Paladium
articles in January, so that I can include a textual history in the
reprint of the 1870 "Mutual Banking." But I'm also planning on collecting
the rest of the mutual banking material in (probably) two more pamphlets,
including: the Worcester Paladium articles (if I can get copies), Equality
(1849), Mutual Banking (1850), and some material from "The Radical
Deficiency of the Existing Circulating Medium, and the Advantages of a
Mutual Currency" (1857) and "Socialistic, Communistic, Mutualistic and
Financial Fragments" (1875) which wasn't included in the 1970 edition.

I'm hoping soon to get a few days in the Labadie Collection, to track down
Greene's writing for The Word, after which it ought to be possible to
1) put together an updated bibliography and Reader's Guide, and 2) plan
out a republication strategy for as much of the rest of Greene's work as I
can gather.

I'll be adding texts to the Libertarian Labyrinth site as well, as I have
time to mark them up. <www.wcnet.org/~swilbur/liblab/>

I've also added a bunch of new designs to the AKA Bookish T-Shirt
line. Check them out at <www.wcnet.org/~paupers/tshirts.html>.
