Subject: Referendum for my vote.


The chad-free polling card has just slipped through my
letter [mail] box, for next Thursday's probable Blair
walkover. Personally, I don't think he'll do as well
as the polls suggest because a lot of real [as opposed
to self-styled socialists] may well abstain or perhaps
drift to the Socialist Alliance, supported by the SWP,
Paul Foot, Tariq Ali, assorted comedians [Jeremy
Hardy, Mark Thomas etc].

Anyway no-one's actively seeking my vote, so I'll put
it out for any offers. Obviously financial
remuneration will be weighted more heavily in my
thinking than sheer volume of suggestions. Should I:

a]abstain and not visit the polling booth

b]abstain by spoiling ballot paper [advantage is that
it's a positive purposeful thrusting abstention;
disadvantage is that I'm counted in the overall total
of participating voters and therefore they can claim
democracy is vibrant and successful]

c]vote Labour - Ann Keen - sitting New Labour
Blairette, who has done bugger all except support
Frank Dobson in his failed bid to stop the bandwagon
that was Red Ken becoming Mayor of London].Only real
reason for voting is that the Tories are worse.

d]vote Conservative for a pimpled dork who hates
otherly-styled bogus asylum seekers, but who could
win.Would be as hideous as Bush, but would kick Blair
in goolies.

e]vote Liberal Democrat who can't win but are sounding
more socialist than Labour and are mostly nice people,
with the exception of the late Jeremy Thorpe who had
that unfotunate incident with Rinka the Great Dane in
the 1970s.

f]vote Socialist Alliance- would appeal to Trot
lurkers on this list.

g]vote UK Independence and leave Europe. Should appeal
to Echelon monitors who probably have bags of cash to
give away.

Answers on the back of a cheque/check please, or even
on the back of a Czech as I personally welcome bogus
asylum seekers.
